Who is Kevin McCann?

Kevin McCann has dedicated years to serving the residents of Winter Springs through volunteer leadership, civic involvement, and elected office. 

His commitment to protecting neighborhoods, preserving the city's character, and maintaining a high quality of life has earned the trust of residents throughout the

community.

A longtime Florida resident, Kevin and his wife Kathy have called Winter Springs home since 2004. Together they have raised their family here and remain

committed to preserving the community values that make Winter Springs a special place to live, work, and raise a family.

Kevin was appointed to the Winter Springs City Commission in April 2021 following a public selection process and was elected Mayor in November 2022.

Prior to serving on the Commission, he was actively involved in numerous community organizations, including serving as President of the Tuscawilla

Homeowners Association and Vice Chairman of the Winter Springs Planning & Zoning Board.

Since becoming Mayor, Kevin has focused on:

• Protecting residential neighborhoods and the city's tree canopy

• Supporting public safety and first responders

• Improving infrastructure and stormwater systems

• Maintaining fiscal responsibility

• Encouraging thoughtful, controlled growth

• Increasing transparency and resident engagement in local government

Kevin also serves in regional leadership roles, including the Oviedo-Winter

Springs Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Seminole, MetroPlan Orlando's

Municipal Advisory Committee, and organizations that advocate for Florida's

cities and local governments.

Mayor McCann was recently awarded by the Florida League of Cities HOME RULE HERO for 2026 for the hard work and dedication to Winter Springs.
